Bucs Rookie Running Back Had A Game For The Ages

Doug Martin, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie running back out of Boise State, rattled off three long touchdowns today and finished with 251 yards rushing against the Raiders. That is tied for the third-most rushing yards ever for a rookie in a single game.

Martin scored from 45 yards, 67 yards, and 70 yards, and according to ESPN, he is the first player in NFL history with three rushing touchdowns of at least 45 yards in one game. And he had all three in the second half. He later added a fourth touchdown from one yard out, becoming just the second player in NFL history (since 1960) with at least 250 yards rushing and four touchdowns.
