Taylor Townsend - Age, Family, Bio

American tennis player who won the 2012 Australian Open in the Girls' Singles competition. She then won the ITF Singles and Doubles tournaments on the same day at the Australian Open in 2014 and in doing so, she became the first junior American woman to be ranked first in the world since Gretchen Rush in 1982.

Before Fame

She was born in Chicago and competed at the $10,000 Amelia Island tournament in 2010.

Trivia

In a move which drew much controversy, the USTA barred her from competing at the 2012 U.S. Open due to her weight.
